I used to see marbles like this all the time at yard sales and friend’s homes when I was a child. Seeing this made me wish I had a little dish filled with marbles.
This is what Hannah will be wearing today. Yes, it’s true, I actually do take the time to stop sewing for everyone else and sew something for my child. It’s a rare occurence, but ever since I found this white fabric with green shamrocks, I knew I was going to make something just for her. One I got home, I dove head first (no really. I did. There’s that much fabric. Have you SEEN my sewing room?) and I dug out the deep green linen/cotton blend fabric with white shamrocks out of my fabric stash, the perfect mate for my new find. I started this tunic a month ago and spent the last month looking at it, passing it from one to-do pile to another and finally, I made the time to complete it. Today. The 16th of March. At 8:30pm. I’ll show off pictures of her in her new frock this weekend.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day, don’t forget your green!
That’s right, I finally put the awesome decal that Beth (theyarnchick) made for me LAST year. It looks awesome and now I am legit, totally legit baby!
Come on over and visit me at my dot com (see? I told you. LEGIT!)

(Just wanted to add – that is not smooge on my back window, those are clouds in the sky, reflecting off the shiny and CLEAN window. lol)
When I say “patchwork” most people would think old school granny style quilting. When I think of patchwork, I think about gorgeous pieces like these that I dream of some day making. (The following pictures are of quilts that were part of a Doll Quilt Swap)
